The Butterfly Toy Shelf — drag to reveal the finished piece.
I'm a hobbyist woodworker operating out of my garage shop. I've found great enjoyment in solving small design problems and exploring the seemingly endless opportunities to learn new woodworking techniques. Most of my projects use a combination of machines and hand tools.
The shop has machines ranging from the early 1950s to modern day. I'm particularly drawn to older machines — often made from steel and cast iron, they work incredibly well. Beyond their performance, these machines have a certain charisma to them with curves and arches that you don't find in modern equipment. I've managed to get my hands on a few sweethearts, including a Northfield jointer, Delta drill press, Yates belt/disc sander, and a Powermatic lathe.
